East Hamilton Middle School
East Hamilton Middle School will be a 175,000 square foot facility in the Missionary Ridge Learning Community. The capacity of the new school will hold 1,200 students so that the building can accommodate the growth expected in the East Hamilton community. The new school will feature the latest learning technology, labs, group learning areas, and STEM labs. The school site will also have athletic fields for football, soccer, softball, and baseball. East Hamilton Middle will be the new home to sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade students in the East Hamilton area when the school opens in August 2020.

Harrison Elementary School
The new Harrison Elementary will have 80 classrooms, age-appropriate playgrounds for different age groups at the school, a gym, and makerspaces for children to use classroom skills learned in STEM lessons. Makerspaces allow children to work in groups and use concepts from science, technology, engineering, and math to share ideas and unleash their creativity. The completed new Harrison Elementary will provide space for up to 880 students. Harrison Elementary School is in the Harrison Bay Learning Community.

Howard Connect Academy
The new Howard Connect will open on Wednesday, August 7, for grades 6 through 8. Howard Connect is an open enrollment school in the district with enrollment priority for those living in the Howard community. The school is located at 100 25th Street, in a newly renovated space from floor to ceiling. The school has adequate space to support its design principles, featuring an industrial vibe with bold use of color in the school decor. The Howard Connect mascot is the Hustlin’ Tigers, and the school colors are maroon and gold. The school will have sports teams, after-school clubs, extra-curricular activities, and more as the school grows.
Snow Hill Elementary
Snow Hill Elementary opened with a new look on August 7 with an addition and a renovation of the existing school. The addition includes a new multipurpose gym area, 12 new classrooms, improved pickup/drop-off area improved with improved access for vehicles, and a reconfigured office area and main entry.

The Howard School Stadium; new gym at Lookout Valley Elementary; an elevator upgrade at Normal Park; new tracks at Brainerd High, Central High, Hixson High, and Soddy Daisy High; a field house and tennis courts at Lookout Valley Middle/High; and replacement of heating and air at Chattanooga High School Center for Creative Arts.
